I'm back again!
Thank you for returning to the site after your time away as a volunteer, whether that was last year or back in 1967! We always enjoy hearing from returned volunteers, and finding out what you are now up to. Do drop us a line.
As you may know in 2007/08 Project celebrated it's 40th Anniversary. During that year many returned volunteers attended various celebrations including the main reception at the RGS in London, a big ceilidh in Edinburgh and a number of overseas reunions. We made a huge and ongoing effort to contact as many returned volunteers as possible and were really encouraged by the positive responses, the countless offers of help and the genuine desire of returned volunteers to maintian contact.
There are plenty of ways to stay involved. Our best ambassadors are our returned volunteers. They continue to dazzle everyone from the local sixth-form to the Rotary club, with their stories of unarmed combat with scorpions and crushed beetles for breakfast. If you'd like to help raise our profile through school talks, please contact Ali McDonald on ali@projecttrust.org.uk If you'd like to contribute to a returned volunteer newsletter, contact ross@projecttrust.org.uk
