BEFORE YOU APPLY:

Please check that you are aware what a year out with Project Trust involves:

  • A full 8 or 11/12 months overseas in one of 22 countries.
  • Attendance at a selection course on the Isle of Coll. (see the selection page)
  • A fundraising target of £4950 (£4350 for particip8) - achievable with our help. (see the fundraising page)
  • Volunteers raising in Euros must raise £5600 for 12 month programme (£5000 for particip8)

1) Apply
Earlier the better. You can apply over a year in advance
Complete our online application form or contact us to have a full information pack sent to you directly.
2) Selection Course
Courses run from August - March
All prospective candidates must spend 4.5 days with us on the Isle of Coll in Scotland. Full details.
3) Fundraising
From selection course until two weeks prior to departure overseas
Selected volunteers have between their selection course and departure for overseas to raise the fundraising total (currently £4660). Project Trust provides comprehensive advice and support.
4) Training

One week in July or one week in September for the Particip8 programme
Volunteers return to the Isle of Coll to be trained in their country groups about their country and the work they will be doing. See 'Training' for the Full details.
5) Departure
August / September or December/ January
Volunteers depart for overseas.
